custom tank

OK, i wasnt going to but am now think custom tank (48 long 30 wide 20 deep = 125gals) and wondered if i went with 20inch depth, and wanted to keep SPS are two 175W HQI (with T5 atinic) a good trade off between electrical use & SPS color/growth vs. 250W. i figured that with a 3 inch sand bed (is that good depth?) i'd be at 17in (max) depth which sounds shawllow enough too warrent 175s vs. 250s. I want 30 wide becuase i like the way you can have open spaces

The depth will be fine, but the width will be the issue. The outer 3" on either side will not be very well lit, the PAR would be very low there.
