I think I know the answer to this, since firefish are jumpers.
So I have a fully covered tank, plenty of damsels, if I were to add any of the fire fish gobies, would then simply be chased and jump?
If the tank is covered, and I'm able to keep them all in there, would the firefish be able to find a hide out and fend for themselves? or simply be forced into the corner.
Hypothetically, (since it's too late for me) lets say the firefish went in first, had their homes staked out and were adapted to their territories and environment, then I added damsels, would that then allow them both to coexist, or would the damsels aggression still simply be too high and eventually chase the fire fish out anyway.
I only keep the small Chrysiptera genus damsels.
Thanks in advance.

I would not mix firefish with damsels in any order. They are just too skidish and would never venture out to feed with damsels around.
