though I don't know the species, its very similar to the local mud crabs, the bigger claw is used to eat/break open mollusk, such as clams, barnacles, oysters, snails etc. Not the full sized ones, of course, shells are too thick, but the little ones. As such, I've have one with a small molly, as an experiment, and they do not hunt fish, but display to them to warn them off.
