Hi,

Can anybody tell me is this aiptasia or not? I found it month ago it is about 1cm (3/8") in diameter and does not grow more. It is sitting in the sand, sometimes during the day completly goes into sand.

Regards

Doesn't look like it from that angle.

Try feeding it a small meaty bit of seafood and observe its reactions.

Hi there,

A late reply but.... I have these too! They are small sand anemones from the genus Halcampa. Harmless and pretty cool to have around IMO.

Check out my web-site if you want to see the pics of mine (look under 'Other Fauna' - Small sand anemones). :D

Regards

Lisa
