Muffler System

I currently have a Acura TSX and I'm looking to upgrade my muffler system..I dont want it to be loud and annoying but sporty.. Any ideas?

If you are looking for obnoxious... get any of those cheap muffler systems... They are a dime a dozen at muffler shops.
If you are looking at something performance oriented.. look into getting something like flowmasters and integrate them into the system. Nice sounding without being obnoxious and without the look of coffee cans in the back bumper.
If they make it for your car and you can shell out some $$$$ Supersprint would be the way to go. Dyno proven power... If they cannot see gains, they do not make it for any vehicle.

Check on youtube to see the expected sound. I like a raspy growl but that isn't possible with an evo. Yet, it's still possible to not make it sound like crap loud and annoying.

You have to pay attention to design as the main thing is clearing your fuel tank. It is hard to get a full system or you'll end up paying a muffler shop to do a full custom piping and I wouldn't trust some random shop. They'll likely screw it up.

Best advice? Go to your acura forum and look for their exhaust section then go onto youtube to get actual sound clips and driveby clips to verify sound.

Remember most people will do Exhaust (headers) to test pipe/hi flow cat to cat-back to get the tone. The perfect sound may not be available without doing all the way through.

Cheap way? Borla mufflers are always great sounding. Obviously a full system is better but can be just welded on for cheap and get a nicer sound from the stock system.
