What is your opinion of the AGA pre-drilled tank and their corner overflow accessory kit? I like the looks of it (i.e., minimal space and black panel), but wonder about the maintenance and effectiveness of the design (e.g., those bottom intake holes getting clogged, ease of removal and cleaning of the prefilter, the float valve getting gummed up, etc). Anyone have any practical experience with it?

The predrilled AGA tanks are fine, but I'd suggest passing on the manufacturer's overflow kit and just setting up a Durso or Stockman standpipe (no prefilter, no float, much quieter). It's true that the lower holes on the AGA overflow will get clogged if you go with a DSB, but the overflow will still function fine without them.

If I'm not mistaken I think the new AGA overflows are a Durso type set up.
