Skimmer for IM SR Pro 2 120 AIO Aquarium

I need some help with a skimmer. Been out of the large tank game for a long time. My wife got me an IM SR Pro 2 120 AIO Aquarium for Christmas.
Do I need a skimmer if I set up a ref or if I get an algae scrubber with reactors?
Also is there a way to put a skimmer under the tank? I know the flow has to have no restrictions. Is that still the case?

Can't put a skimmer under tank without a sump which your AIO setup doesn't have. That's ok. Get a HOB skimmer. On BRS right now there is 50% off on Aquamax. The 1.5 or Bullet 3 would be a great choice to export wastes.
