A couple of months ago I picked up a pair of firefish from my local LFS,,, I didn't buy them for breeding or anything and wasn't even sure they were a mated pair until I noticed one had a big fat belly. I think they spawned last night,,, one of them is staying in their cave (the male I assume) and only comes out to chase off other fish that stray too close,, they've never shown any aggression before.
They live in a cave under a big chunk of rock, so removal of the eggs isn't an option. I'd like to have a crack at raising any fry that hatch but have been unsuccessful researching specifics on incubation period & feeding of the fry.
Can any anyone help? Hello? Bueller? Bueller?
