Can anyone tell me how to mix salt?

I use old soda bottles filled half with salt ( any kind of salt will do but kosher works best) then half filled with water ( tap water will work best but bath water is fine to). then I shake the bottle for about 45 seconds a dump into my tank.

The methods I'm reading are bananas!!!
Step 1 : get salt from pet store
Step 2 : aquire mixing container for amount of water plus space for swirling.
Step 3 : get RODi water or DISTILLED water
Step 4 : READ salt mixing direction on the BOX/BAG/BUCKET ( from my experience it's usually 1/2 cup(.5 ) salt per 1 gallon ( 4 qts )of water.
Step 5 : get Test salinity to 32-36 ppt

Maybe if you quoted skene it would have been clearer who you were asking was serious..
