Kalkwasser vs. Kent A/B

I have been researching which of these two approachs to use. WOW! there are a lot of different ideas on how to maintain Calcium.

I would be interested in any opionions, comments, ideas, etc.. as to which of these approaches to use - one or the other or combination to work with my set-up.

46 gal. with 25-35 lbs rock, some live, rest cycling. Had recent problem with SG, but have corrected tank and learned lesson. I am tring to grow various mushrooms, polyops, and want to get the rock lkg good. Want to work into leathers and soft corrals and other plants. Not planning hard corrals or clams, do not have the lighting set-up.

Nibbs,
Does your setup include using a sump? I would suggest dosing kalkwasser. Here is a site that gives info on the pros and cons of using the different methods. HTH

Does using Kalkwasser require daily monitoring? I travel a lot and might be away from the tank for a couple days at a time.
