If the pH is correct, then there are several possible solutions:

1. Less limewater of the same strength.

2. Same amount of limewater, but more dilute.

3. More mixing of CO2 into the system (aeration).

4. Adding vinegar to the limewater.

The best solution will depend upon many factors, especially whether the tank needs as much calcium and alkalinity as you are presently adding.

I started dosing Kawlkwasser about 1 week ago. I have allready noticed corraline growth on my glass
icon_biggrin.gif
( something I have been waiting for , for months. My mix is 2 teaspoons per gallon and I only dose during the night when the lights are out.
My problem seems to be high PH. At 11:00 tonight the Pinpoint read between 8.66-8.7.
Is the answer just to cut down on the amount of Kawlkwasser in the water say 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons?
