i set up a 54 gal corner reef about a month ago ,had a water test the other day (dont recall the nitrate lvl at the time) and i was at .25 ammonia so i cahnged the water and retested again today..everything looks good
i saw that my nitrate lvls were about 20 ppm was just ondering how i could have that much nitrate after only a month..not that im complaining...just wondering i did a bout a 10% water change in there and i replaced the water with natures ocean nutri seawaterl..could that have something to do with it . i also dosed with cycle after the water change......hoping someone can shed some light on this mystrey thx

Your tank is still cycling. First you will get an ammonia spike followed by nitrites then nitrates. Natural process. Keep on testing, you're almost there. No worries
