What's up MR I found some cool coal that I was thinking of fragging some zoas on and was wondering if salt would break it down or if it would affect anything? I know its fine to keep coal in fresh water but just wanted to know salt was ok too any help would be appreciated

It would depend on what kind of coal it is. And are you sure it is coal and not slag ? Put it in some very warm RO/DI and circulate it and see if there is any changes in the clarity of the water or any oily film on the surface when the circulation is shut off.

I've had it sitting in some ro for a few days no oil or discoloration visible , its definitely coal
