That's a lot of nuts! Well, i just put him in my little tank. I hope he doesn't whack my snails. I'm gonna attempt to feed him mysis shrip to keep him happy. Think that will work???

It's impossible to predict a mantis' behavior, but if I was a betting man, I'd still think it would take out other inhabitants like snails and hermits.

Personally, I could never get myself to set up a mantis-specific tank :P Mine, stowed away into my 120gallon, has been a mass murderer of fish.

It appears to be a smasher, crabs would be the natural prey

Spearing mantis eat fish


Local guy had a 8-10" monster in with baby bangaii's without any trouble, but when he fed it crabs watch out!
