Couple of Questions from Total Newbie

Silverfuelz,

I read the you used play sand in your fresh tank, if you put this in you salt you will have diatoms for a long time.

Play sand has loads of silicates (diatom thrive on this stuff).
IDK if you where going to use live sand just wanted to note this.

I started with a Seaclone 100 that was simply a pain to get going... I switched to a Euro-Reef RS-80 - Quite a difference (but sadly 2.5 times the price)

Personally, I would stick with an aragonite sand for a reef tank, but that said, lots of people have used silica sand in reef tanks with no problems.
