F/S Octopus Extreme 160 Skimmer

Used for about 1 month, still in like new condition, I just don't like the skimmer, it's not big enough for my system. My loss is your gain. Looking to get $260 shipped.

just curious why you don't like the skimmer, I was looking at the 200.

There is a couple of things I don't like, first is the cup design, it reminds me of a Seaclone (O-ring design) which makes it difficult to remove under my tank when it's full. I tried to use the drain into a gallon jug, well when the power went out the skimmer overflowed and nasty skimmer water spilled onto the floor cause it overflowed the jug. My sump does not have a constant water level in the skimmer compartment so it affects the skimmer which makes it inconsistent with skimming. Lastly it's rated for 160 gallons and my system volume is around 160 gallons. I went back to old reliable my ASM.

Sorry not interested in trades I got the parts to fix my asm and I'm sticking with it, I had too many nightmares with skimmers lately.
